Our very first project was simple , all we had to do was write a story on something that left a lasting impression on us. Here's mine : https://docs.google.com/a/davincischools.org/document/d/17cas1tr3nWj6eY2dU61vGD4WaPX4JfVP68-84-X45Fg/edit?usp=sharing - During English we were told to read the book The True Diary of a Part Time Indian and later write an essay arguing over topics that were picked for us. (here's mine: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Yygg9IDSVSsns5VHxkd7yIL4DgMf7m-vSKFrgRHwaO0/edit) We were then told to make a Socratic Seminar, this is where say our opinions on questions based on the book that we recently read. - There was another event we had to do, it was called TEDx this is where we had to write an essay on a topic we thought was important to us, I did mine on racial inequality : https://docs.google.com/document/d/16tkXi1fctWwKgVHBktf5d7jusZnFKHCMubsX2mHz7C4/edit - In English class Regina asked us to make a children's book, in the book we were asked to explain a real world problem and tie the Gods into it so we would have an explanation behind these events. - In English class Regina asked us to write a speech in the perspective of someone from the district we chose, we had to address the capital of what we thought they were doing wrong. We also had to persuade our audience to join us in a rebellion against the capital. here's mine : https://docs.google.com/document/d/1lVxC4bIABW7S2PwKszoUKX-JZymg84-1if6hkcRT8sc/edit - For this project we read Romeo and Juliet as a class once we were done reading Regina asked us to write our opinion on questions Regina had picked for us, the question I chose to answer was " Can innocence beauty and virtue be destroyed ". We were asked to incorporate the book into our opinion on the topics by adding quotes then later adding our personal experiences into it. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1EtWeRo6fKrVBXSjnAjd_lQ-tQQl46mhwcmka7gh-H_Y/edit
